Impress others with a simple presentation

I suprême a citrus whenever I eat a citrus after I learned how to make suprême. At the beginning, it was a practice for the knife skill, and now it becomes one of my habit.

When I suprême a citrus and serve it to friends who visit my place, usually they are very impressed! :) --- of course, friends from non-culinary worlds.

It is much easier than you think... just try it, and impress your guests!

Orange and Grapefruit Suprême
Simple but pretty way to present your citrus

(Yield: 2 servings / Cooking time: five minutes)

Ingredients:
+ one orange
+ one grapefruit
+ mint leaves for presentation

Procedures:
1. Cut off each end of a citrus - cut enough so that you can see the segments. In the pictures, I used a big knife... but please use your pairing knife for the whole procedures. It will be easier with pairing knife.

2. From top to bottom, peel the citrus skin. You need to make curve motions so that the citrus segment can hold the round curved shape. Carve off any remaining pith.

3. Hold the peeled citrus in your one hand, and with a knife cut the segments out --> you call the segment "suprême". Make sure there is no pith, membranes, and seeds attached in your suprêmes. Please place a large bowl below your hand so that you can capture all the juice and falling segments.

4. Place the orage and grapefuit segments one by one in a round shape and decorate with mint leaves. You can even put a scoop of yogurt or citrus sorbet on the top.

Hope you enjoy this! (this is not even a recipe... oh, well.)
